Building on the success of Sámi artists’ participation in previous years, the 2026 Venice Biennale presents another exciting opportunity for Finnish and Sámi artists and curators to collaborate in ways that foster cross-cultural dialogue and showcase their work internationally. This call encourages proposals that reflect the unique perspectives, artistic productions, and contemporary issues of the Arctic region.

  • Eligibility: Teams must include at least one artist and one curator

  • Initial proposal: Concise exhibition concept (max 3 pages)
  • Artist(s) CV and portfolio
  • Curator(s) CV
  • Consideration of pavilion space and 7-month exhibition duration
  • Feasibility within approximate €100,000 budget
  • Submission in English
