Drew Michael Artist Fellowship at Anchorage Museum

Emerging artists from Alaska and the Circumpolar North are invited to participate in the new Drew Michael Artist Fellowship at the Anchorage Museum. Created by Yup’ik and Iñupiaq artist Drew Michael, this residency joins the Museum’s artist-in-residence program, which has hosted artists, filmmakers, scholars, musicians, writers, and curators from across the North. The fellowship will provide selected artists with stipends for materials and research, alongside access to the Museum’s extensive archives and collections. The program focuses on artists exploring connections between people, place, and ritual in the North. The Museum plans to select and recruit one to two artists annually. Contact the Anchorage Museum for application details and deadlines.
