Attendee Information
Welcome to Ubmeje/Umeå
Ubmeje/Umeå is located in the northern, Arctic region of Sweden, which is part of Sábmie, and is known for its vibrant cultural scene, universities, creative industries, and strong international collaborations in arts and culture. In June,Ubmeje/Umeå enjoys long daylight hours, with bright evenings and mild temperatures. Weather can vary, so we recommend bringing layers and a light jacket.
Getting Around Ubmeje/Umeå
Ubmeje/Umeå is a convenient, accessible city, with most Summit venues within a 5 minute walk of each other and hotels.
Umeå Airport

Local Transportation
The Summit venues are located within walking distance of each other in central Ubmeje/Umeå. Taxis and local buses are also available throughout the city.
Venues
The Summit program takes place across several venues in central Umeå, primarily:
- – Umeå Folkets Hus
- – Väven
- – Bildmuseet
- – Sjadduo, Town Square
- – Norrlandsoperan
Please note that moving between venues may take some time. We recommend checking the program schedule carefully and allowing enough time between sessions. Staff and volunteers will be available throughout the Summit to help guide participants between venues and activities.
It is completely acceptable to arrive late to sessions or leave early in order to move between venues. Please note that because programming is generally “first come, first served” it may be possible that individual venues will reach capacity.
